What distracts you?

Today I'm busily at work trying to build up inventory before my first craft show in less than one month.  I've really got my work cut out for me!  (No pun intended, but they often do tend to happen naturally in my family...)  I've got about 30 aprons cut out and ready to be sewn.  (And at least a dozen more on the drawing board...)  I haven't even begun to cut out the purses yet.  So I'm already feeling a little stressed and pressed for time, when my biggest distraction appears:
Phoebe
She's a sweetie, really.  But she's also very high maintenance...  She's actually not even MY dog-- she's my youngest daughter's dog, which makes her my grand-dog technically.  We adopted her from a shelter for Jenna's 16th birthday.  She's a special needs dog.  She has the disorder Pica, which means she has a compulsion to eat things that are not food.  She actually had to have surgery when she was about a year old because she swallowed a 2 inch quilting pin.  (During the surgery, they also found some rocks, pieces of wood, plastic, fabric, a zipper, and a PENCIL in her stomach... but not the pin.  Luckily it passed about a week later, with no further ill effects.)  So to say the least, we do our best to keep her under constant supervision.  And we try to provide toys that will keep her occupied.
I stuff her Kong with little dog shaped treats
She really loves them.  They're called Pup Corn...

Ahhhhhh peace and quiet...  For about 3 minutes. (She's got a very talented tongue.  The Kong is not really much of a challenge for her...)  Before I know it, here she is again.

I am soooo bored!
So I resort to toy number 2.  I made a busy-ball for her out of an old tennis ball.  I fill it with food out of her own bowl.  She'd rather eat it out of the busy-ball than just out of her bowl.  Yeah, she's weird.
She loves her busy-ball too!

She rolls it around the house with her nose, and the food randomly falls out of the hole in the ball.  Hours of fun, right?  Well, she seems to be really talented at this too.  Buys me maybe 5 minutes.

So our routine generally involves repeating this pattern over and over until ONE of us is tired-- which is usually me!  But sometimes I get lucky:

Quick!  To the sewing machine!!!

Hope somebody has a productive day...
